A good time for the baby shower to be held is in the 7th to 8th month. At this point, the woman knows the sex of the baby (if she chooses) and though she is clearly showing, she is not completely miserable yet! If you wait until the 9th month, it may be too late if she delivers early, or she may be so uncomfortable that she is hardly in the mood for a party!
Baby NamingSince parents must choose the first and middle name, they tend to think of how the first and middle name sound together when making their decision. But that is not how the child will be addressed on a daily basis. So, say the names out loud using first and last name, which is how the child will almost always be addressed. For example, if it the baby name begins or ends with the same letter as the first letter of your last name, it may sound awkward.
Pregnancy ExerciseBefore starting an exercise routine while you are pregnant, talk to your doctor or midwife. He or she can help you figure out how slowly you should start and warning signs that may occur if there is a problem or if your are pushing too hard. Having a plan with your doctor may make you feel more comfortable as well.
