Many women end up having a couple of showers, especially for the first baby. Her family may throw a shower and invite only family members, and then her co-workers may want to throw one as well. The mother-to-be may find that her husband or significant other is surprised with a shower or gifts by people with whom he works as well. He or she can help you figure out how slowly you should start and warning signs that may occur if there is a problem or if your are pushing too hard. Having a plan with your doctor may make you feel more comfortable as well.

There are many remedies that have been suggested for morning sickness, such as: drinking ginger ale; having a snack next to the bed to eat before you get up; morning sickness wrist bands; and eating many small meals instead of 3 large meals.
