Invitations should be mailed about four weeks prior to the shower. This way, it is not so soon that people forget about it, but yet gives people enough time to make room in their calendar and to RSVP. Guests should RSVP no later than two weeks before the shower. People who are organized will open the card, check their schedule, and call right then, so it is important to have voice mail or an answering machine so they can respond immediately.

Remember that "cool" names that seem unique today may not be so great when your child is 25.

Dizziness during or after your pregnancy workout that is persistant or accompanied by blurred vision and/or headaches may be a sign of anemia or other serious illness. Cool down and advise your doctor or midwife.

Relieve your smell-related sickness when eating or cooking by turning on the exhaust fan or opening a window to keep the smells to a minimum.
