Baby Names Plus Quick Tips
Baby Shower PlanningInvitations should be mailed about four weeks prior to the shower. This way, it is not so soon that people forget about it, but yet gives people enough time to make room in their calendar and to RSVP. Guests should RSVP no later than two weeks before the shower. People who are organized will open the card, check their schedule, and call right then, so it is important to have voice mail or an answering machine so they can respond immediately.
Baby NamingTry to avoid names that could be mispronounced or misspelled easily. There is nothing more frustrating to a kid than having to correct people, like his or her teacher, every time they say the name for the first time. Or having to say "no, that's spelled with an 'I' not a 'Y'" a thousand times! Plus, if you like to buy things with your child's name on them, you'll never be able to find anything with the correct spelling unless it's specially made for you.
Pregnancy ExerciseThe best pregnancy exercises are low-impact aerobics such as brisk walking, dancing, swimming and yoga to name a few. Try to avoid potentially dangerous sports, such as outdoor biking, skiing, horseback riding, etc. Never go scuba diving as it can cause dangerous gas bubbles in the baby's blood.
Morning SicknessAlthough the term "morning sickness" suggests that the feeling only occurs in the morning, it can actually strike at any time of day. Many women say their nausea is the worst in the evening after dinner, since the digestive system has slowed down considerably in order for the body to absorb all the nutrients possible.
