A good time for the baby shower to be held is in the 7th to 8th month. At this point, the woman knows the sex of the baby (if she chooses) and though she is clearly showing, she is not completely miserable yet! If you wait until the 9th month, it may be too late if she delivers early, or she may be so uncomfortable that she is hardly in the mood for a party!

Be sure that the name you select sounds good when combined with your last name. Try to avoid a first name that ends with the same consonant as first letter of your last name. It can be hard to pronounce properly and could create a never ending barrage of rhyming jokes from peers.

Overheating your body for an extended period of time may be harmful to the fetus. Remember that your internal thermometer will let you know when you've had enough. Cold flashes or clammy hands means you body is having a hard time regulating its temperature, and you should stop and cool down.

Pepermint tea and Ginger Ale have been known to ease morning sickness. Pouring cola over ice and drinking a small amount may also help.
