Baby Shower Planning

Invitations should be mailed about four weeks prior to the shower. This way, it is not so soon that people forget about it, but yet gives people enough time to make room in their calendar and to RSVP. Guests should RSVP no later than two weeks before the shower. People who are organized will open the card, check their schedule, and call right then, so it is important to have voice mail or an answering machine so they can respond immediately.

Baby Naming

Many families like to go with a theme when naming their children. For example, all first or middle names starting with the same letter: Randy, Rachel, Renee and Robert. Or Stephen James, Brian Jay, Wendy Jo, and Bonnie Jean.

Pregnancy Exercise

Your heart rate should never increase beyond 140 beats per minute while exercising, especially while pregnant. If you are sweating profusely or you cannot talk while working out, you are exercising too hard.

Morning Sickness

Spicey and fried foods are hard on your stomach when it isn't pregnant, when it is, they are much worse! Try to avoid spicey foods until you are looking to start labor (just a myth)! Stay away from fried foods completely if you can.
