A good time for the baby shower to be held is in the 7th to 8th month. At this point, the woman knows the sex of the baby (if she chooses) and though she is clearly showing, she is not completely miserable yet! If you wait until the 9th month, it may be too late if she delivers early, or she may be so uncomfortable that she is hardly in the mood for a party!

Overheating your body for an extended period of time may be harmful to the fetus. Remember that your internal thermometer will let you know when you've had enough. Cold flashes or clammy hands means you body is having a hard time regulating its temperature, and you should stop and cool down.

Recent studies have suggested that mothers who have morning sickness also have less micarriages, but just because you are not "sick" doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. Only about 50-60% of women experience morning sickness.
