Many women end up having a couple of showers, especially for the first baby. Her family may throw a shower and invite only family members, and then her co-workers may want to throw one as well. The mother-to-be may find that her husband or significant other is surprised with a shower or gifts by people with whom he works as well. Spicey and fried foods are hard on your stomach when it isn't pregnant, when it is, they are much worse! Try to avoid spicey foods until you are looking to start labor (just a myth)! Stay away from fried foods completely if you can.
