Most people feel that the first baby should be the only baby shower that is given for the mom-to-be. However, there are exceptions to this "rule." For example, if the woman has had one or more children at one point in her life, and then sells or donates everything because she is “done” having kids, only to find out several years later she is going to have another baby and will need everything again.

Many parents choose to narrow their list down to two or three of their favorite names and then wait until they see the baby for the first time to actually choose the name. This may give you and your child a special sense of pride. "He just looked like a Jeremy!"

Bleeding is another sign that something may be wrong. Whether it happen while you are working out or at any other time, it is best to call your doctor or midwife immediately. It could mean different things, depending on what stage of pregnancy you are in, or it could mean nothing at all.

If smells are the main cause of morning sickness, carry around a hankerchief with a non-offensive odor on it. Put it over your nose when smells become unbearable and you cannot get away from the area.
