Invitations should be mailed about four weeks prior to the shower. This way, it is not so soon that people forget about it, but yet gives people enough time to make room in their calendar and to RSVP. Guests should RSVP no later than two weeks before the shower. People who are organized will open the card, check their schedule, and call right then, so it is important to have voice mail or an answering machine so they can respond immediately.

Try to avoid names that could be mispronounced or misspelled easily. There is nothing more frustrating to a kid than having to correct people, like his or her teacher, every time they say the name for the first time. Or having to say "no, that's spelled with an 'I' not a 'Y'" a thousand times! Plus, if you like to buy things with your child's name on them, you'll never be able to find anything with the correct spelling unless it's specially made for you.

Bleeding is another sign that something may be wrong. Whether it happen while you are working out or at any other time, it is best to call your doctor or midwife immediately. It could mean different things, depending on what stage of pregnancy you are in, or it could mean nothing at all.
