People do not want to leave a baby shower until you’ve opened their presents, so make sure you are doing this no later than an hour to an hour and a half after the party starts. That way, if someone needs to leave a little early, they can. Keep in mind that it takes a while to open presents (at least 30 minutes) and that is why you should start this as soon as the eating and games are done.

Try to avoid names that could be mispronounced or misspelled easily. There is nothing more frustrating to a kid than having to correct people, like his or her teacher, every time they say the name for the first time. Or having to say "no, that's spelled with an 'I' not a 'Y'" a thousand times! Plus, if you like to buy things with your child's name on them, you'll never be able to find anything with the correct spelling unless it's specially made for you.

Overheating your body for an extended period of time may be harmful to the fetus. Remember that your internal thermometer will let you know when you've had enough. Cold flashes or clammy hands means you body is having a hard time regulating its temperature, and you should stop and cool down.

Try to eat cold meals which can be easier on morning sickness both in taste and smell. Fruit and bread products are often the easiest to get down.
